Georgina Drumm

Georgina is a Member of the OFI Board, first elected 2017. She is also a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and a previous member of the Governance Committee.

In Athletics, she has been a member of an Athletics Association since 1986 from County, Provincial and National working in various roles:

  • Former Chair of Athletics Leinster
  • President AAI 2016-2021
  • Deputy President 2012-2016 and Chair of Competition
  • Current Chair Athletics Louth
  • Current member AAI Competitions Committee
  • Member AAI subcommittee for Constitutional change unanimously passed by at EGM in 2024.
  • Currently a National Technical Official, World Athletics Level 1

Georgina’s commitment to gender equality was strengthened by her election as the first Women President of AAI. She was proud to champion the establishment of an AAI Athletes Commission within her term of office.

She has represented her NGB at International Conferences at European and World Athletics.

She is privileged to have received the European Women in Sport, European Member Federation and Federation of Irish Sport Outstanding Achievement Awards.

Her time on the OFI Board has been challenging yet rewarding. If given the opportunity she will continue to work with to uphold integrity, diligence, respect, and courtesy in all her interactions.
