Eric Brady

Eric is a senior Civil Servant with broad experience across the public and private sectors having worked with An Garda Siochana, HSE and the Department of Justice. Previously Eric held senior positions in Financial Services and Consultancy.

During this time Eric served as Chair of the Psychological Society of Ireland and on the Boards of the RCSI Hospital Group and Irish Prisons.

He has extensive administration experience across a range of sports; currently as Hockey Ireland’s Chair of HP having previously served as Chair of their Board. His term as Chair included the highs of successfully organising the 2019 Women’s Olympic qualifier in Donnybrook followed by the challenges of navigating the sport through the Covid lockdown while also supporting our women who in Tokyo became the first ever Irish women’s team to compete at an Olympic Games.

Eric previously served on the Board of Athletics Ireland, including five years on their Finance and Risk Committee and continues his long involvement with Irish Universities Athletics. While in College he was also Olympic Handball’s National Public Relations Officer.

As an athlete he has competed internationally in Olympic Handball, Athletics and Archery winning provincial and national titles in both Rugby and Hurling.
